The London Neighbourhood Watch Association (LNWA) represents the interests of the London Boroughs and the City of London at the Neighbourhood & Home Watch Network (NHWN), the only national Neighbourhood Watch organisation officially recognised by ACPO and the Home Office.
The aim of LNWA is to make the community a safer and more enjoyable place to live, work and play. This is achieved through actively promoting issues such as security and safety, and working closely with key community groups including the The Metropolitan Police, City of London Police, Home Office, and representatives from each of the London Boroughs. Across Greater London, it is estimated that more than a quarter of homes are members of a local Neighbourhood Watch which strongly reflects the high level of community spirit and support from households towards building a better community.
Neighbourhood Watch in London is organised and managed at a Borough level and NOT by LNWA which merely acts as the Representative Body.
